This spring, we will be hosting our annual UNCORKED series of events, this year featuring “FRANCE UNCORKED.” This marks our 7th spring social event, offering a gourmet food and wine experience. The Spain UNCORKED sold out fundraiser was hosted at La Societe on Bloor Street where guests sipped on premium wines by R Lopez de Heredias Vina Tondonia, Torres, and CVNE amongst others while raising money for Camp Oochigeas (currently known as Campfire Circle) www.campfirecircle.org and Amani Children’s Home www.amanikids.org
France UNCORKED was the place to be, hosted at a beautiful Rosedale home. The fifth annual do was chaired by Cathy Martin and Liz Gallery. Thirsty guests sipped on wines from Chateau Leoube, Maison Sichel along with champagne from Henriot all while raising money for Grapes for Humanity. Italy UNCORKED raises a glass and needed funds for children's charities! The St. James Cathedral event space in downtown Toronto set the stunning backdrop for this year's installment of Italy UNCORKED. Co chairs and founders of this hotly anticipated sipping fete, Liz Gallery, and Cathy Martin truly go the extra mile in fundraising. The exclusive food and wine event raises money for Grapes for Humanity which supports children's charitable causes in third world countries. Nibbles were offered up by Citizen Catering and the Italian wines and Woodford reserve bourbon poured throughout the evening were generously donated. The Australia UNCORKED fundraiser was held in May 2013 at the Gardiner Museum where patrons sipped on fabulous wines all overseen by the wonderful oenophile Tony Aspler. It was when Grapes for Humanity ambassadors and board members Liz Gallery and Cathy Martin attended the official opening of the first elementary school in the Guatemalan Village of Las Palmeras that they knew this fundraiser was one they would champion for years to come. The project was a partnership with Access Education, and they were amazed to witness the results. The Gardener museum was the perfect backdrop for an intimate gathering of those who happen to enjoy a gorgeous glass of Vino while doing good, Grapes for Humanity unveiled California UNCORKED, a wine themed event, hosted by wine expert, Tony Aspler, and co chairs Liz Gallery, and Cathy Martin.
